Setting Up Access Policies

The two access modes

Instant Access	Policy-Gated

Configuring instant access

Click Resources in the top navigation and select the resource you want to configure.

Under the resource's access settings, select Instant Access.

Save. Any member assigned to this resource can now view the live code immediately in the mobile app.

Configuring a policy-gated resource

Click Resources in the top navigation and select the resource you want to configure.

Under the resource's access settings, select Requires Approval.

Add one or more Approvers. These must be existing Active members in your Castle account. Approvers will receive a notification in the mobile app when a request comes in.

Optionally, configure the number of approvals required before access is granted (e.g. 1-of-2 approvers, or 2-of-3).

Save. Members assigned to this resource will need to submit a request and wait for approval before viewing the code.

Changing a policy after setup

You can update a resource's policy at any time by returning to the Resource detail page and modifying the Policy section. Changes take effect immediately.

Note:

Once you set a policy on a Resource you are not able to change the Resource to an instant access.
