Accessing a Shared TOTP Code

How to download the Castle app, complete account setup, and view a live TOTP code — whether it's instant access or requires approval.

Before you begin

Your account administrator must first invite you to Castle — you will receive an email from Station70 with setup instructions.

• Step 1 - Download the Castle App

Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Castle by Station70.

Download and install the app.

• Step 2 — Set up your account

Open the Castle app and tap Sign In.

Enter the email address your invite was sent to and follow the prompts.

When prompted, set up biometric authentication. This will be your primary login method going forward.

On the Profile tab, click on Verify Account to complete your registration and begin using Castle

• Step 3 — View a TOTP code

Instant access resources

After logging in, tap the resource you need from the home screen.

The live TOTP code will be displayed immediately and refreshes automatically every 30 seconds.

Use this code on the platform that requires 2FA. Make sure to enter it before the timer resets.

Policy-gated resources

Tap the resource from the home screen. If it requires approval, you will see a Request Access button rather than a live code.

Tap Request Access. An approver will be notified of your request.

Once your request is approved, you will receive a notification. Return to the resource in the app to view the live code.

Note:

TOTP codes rotate every 30 seconds. If you enter a code and it fails, wait for the next code and try again, this is usually a timing issue, not an access issue.
