Reviewing Your Audit Log
Every action your agent attempts — whether it was allowed, denied, or required approval — is recorded in your Gatekeeper audit log. This gives you a complete, tamper-proof record of exactly what your agents have done across every connected service.
What's logged
For every single action attempt, the audit log records:
- The service and specific action attempted (e.g. "create ticket in HubSpot")
- The outcome (allowed, denied, or pending approval)
- Which policy made that decision
- The exact time it happened
- Any data involved in the request
Finding a specific action
- Go to Audit Log in your Gatekeeper dashboard.
- Use the filters to narrow by service, date range, or outcome (allowed/denied/pending).
- Click into any entry to see the full detail, including which policy rule applied.
Why this matters
Because Gatekeeper never holds your actual credentials and every action is policy-checked before it runs, the audit log gives you a complete picture without needing to trust that "nothing went wrong" — you can verify it directly. This is especially useful for:
- Confirming an agent behaved as expected after a new policy change
- Investigating a denial to understand what happened and why (see Troubleshooting Policy Denials)
- Compliance and internal reporting, since every action is timestamped and attributable
A good habit
After setting up a new policy, spend a few minutes checking the audit log to confirm your agent's actions are landing the way you expect — allowed actions going through, restricted ones being blocked or flagged. This is the fastest way to catch a misconfigured policy early.
