What Is SWAT?

SWAT stands for Secure Wallet Asset Transfer — Station70's feature that lets enterprise customers move their private keys from a backup to a Standby Wallet without ever exposing or reconstituting that material in a single online environment. In the event of a disaster, SWAT lets you transfer your digital assets from one wallet provider to another.

What Do I Need to Use SWAT?

  • Linked accounts — Station70 acts as the intermediary between your wallet accounts. By adding our API to your Fireblocks and Fordefi (or Utila) accounts, we can connect the two and facilitate a transfer when needed.
  • A Standby Wallet at a supported provider — alongside your primary wallet, you'll need a Standby Wallet ready and linked with Station70, so you're prepared to transfer at a moment's notice. See Standby Wallets to set one up.

Where Can I Transfer My Assets?

Currently, to Fordefi and Utila, with more providers coming soon.

How Does It Work?

You link your Primary Wallet and Standby Wallet through Station70 in advance. When SWAT is initiated, Station70 transmits an encrypted version of your MPC key to your Standby Wallet. You then use your mobile device to submit your recovery password — at no point does the Standby Wallet gain access to your private key. Instead, both server and user shares are transformed into the MPC format used by the Standby Wallet, enabling immediate transaction signing. Wallet addresses and balances are imported so your information stays current, while privacy is maintained throughout.

Why Is This Safer Than a Normal Recovery?

You never have to expose or reconstruct your private key — your information stays locked away while your assets move over.

How Fast Is SWAT?

Minutes — not hours or days.

Will All My Coins Transfer?

BTC, ETH, SOL, SUI, and TRX are currently supported and will show up immediately after the transfer. Other coins will also transfer to your Standby Wallet, but you'll need to work with your Standby Wallet provider to complete the import.

What Is the Station70 API User?

A secure, read-only integration user that links your wallet provider account to Station70. It retrieves the names of your vault accounts, the assets in each, and the derivation path for each asset and address — it cannot modify your wallet or assets, and its only purpose is to enable linking and facilitate transfers that you initiate.

How Do I Get Access to SWAT?

SWAT is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans.
