Standby Wallets

What Is a Standby Wallet?

A Standby Wallet is a backup wallet that protects your assets if your primary wallet provider becomes unavailable or goes offline.

Key things to know:

  • Your Standby Wallet is always with a different provider than your primary wallet
  • It stays inactive under normal circumstances
  • It's only used if assets need to be transferred from your Primary Wallet to it

Think of it as an emergency fallback that keeps your business running and your assets safe.

How to Set Up a Standby Wallet

  1. Choose a Standby Wallet provider — reach out to a supported provider and create an account directly with them
  2. Sign a contract — complete their onboarding process
  3. Let Station70 take it from there — once your contract is signed, the provider notifies us, and we configure your Standby Wallet on your behalf
  4. Find it on your Account Overview page — your new Standby Wallet will appear here once setup is complete
  5. Link it — click on your Standby Wallet and perform an Account Link (see Setting up SWAT for the full linking walkthrough)

No additional action is required from you after the provider onboarding is complete.
