Common Questions Around Recovery
- I'm recovering my Fireblocks wallet — what do I need to provide?
After recovering your backup files from Station70, go to the Fireblocks Recovery Utility and provide:
- Your Recovery Kit file
- Your Recovery Private Key file
- Your Mobile App Recovery Passphrase
You do not need your Recovery Private Key Passphrase.
Upload the files, enter your Mobile App Recovery Passphrase, and click Recover — you're all set.
- What file formats will I get from Station70 for a Fireblocks recovery?
A ZIP file for your Recovery Kit, and a PEM file for your Recovery Private Key.
- I'm recovering my Fordefi wallet — what do I need to provide?
Two files from your Station70 recovery package — fordefi_recovery_private.pem (an RSA private key) and backup_snapshot.json (your encrypted key shares and vault details) — plus the Fordefi recovery tool, run from your terminal.
I'm recovering my Utila wallet — what do I need to provide?
It depends on the tool you use:
- Utila Offline App: the Encrypted Keys JSON, Wallet Data JSON, and Private RSA Key files from your Station70 recovery package
- Developer CLI Package: your encrypted backup file, your Seed Phrase, and your Wallet Data JSON exported from Utila — unless your account is linked with Station70, in which case we store this for you automatically
Having trouble? Email support@station70.com and we'll help you get sorted.
- Is linking my account required?
No, but we highly recommend it. When you link your wallet provider with your Bunker account, you set up a link that pushes over your asset report from your wallet provider. During a recovery, most recovery tools do not display the assets and expect you to reconstruct the account. If you link your account with Bunker we will store an asset report that will list out all of your assets, their address, and their derivation path.
