How to Use Custom Backups
Custom Backups let you back up files or text that aren't captured through one of Station70's standard wallet integrations — useful for anything you want recoverable through Station70 outside the usual backup flow.
Note: This is an add-on feature and may not be available on every account.
Before You Start
Make sure everyone included in the policy you plan to assign has already registered their device. Station70 needs each person's device information to encrypt your upload correctly — uploading before everyone's registered can prevent you from recovering it later.
How to Upload
- Go to the Backup tab
- Select Custom Upload in the top corner
- Choose a name for your upload
- Choose the secret type:
- File — upload a file directly
- Text — paste in text, and Station70 will save it as a text file
- Select the Policy you'd like to assign (see Creating Your Policy if you haven't set one up yet)
- Click Enroll to complete the upload
Repeat these steps for each file or piece of text you want backed up.
What's Next
Once your Custom Backups are enrolled, they're recovered the same way as any other backup in Station70.
