How to Enroll Your Backup
Once you've requested your backup from your wallet provider, this article walks you through enrolling it in Station70 so it's ready for recovery.
Before You Start
Make sure everyone included in the policy you'll assign has already registered their device. If someone hasn't, they'll need to log in and complete their device registration first — enrollment can't proceed without it.
Step 1: Start the Enrollment
- Go to the Backups tab, where your backup package will be listed
- Click Enroll Backup
- Choose a Policy to assign to this backup
- Give the backup a name
- (Optional) Add a description
- Click Enroll Backup to start the process
Note: If you choose the wrong policy, you can cancel the enrollment. Only the person who initiates the enrollment will be able to cancel the enrollment request. If the enrollment has been approved, then you will not be able to cancel the enrollment.
Step 2: Get Approval from Your Team
Once enrollment starts, the other members included in your policy will need to approve it.
When they log in, they'll see the pending backup enrollment and can either:
- Click Approve directly, or
- Find the request in the Backups tab
Approving requires their YubiKey.
If an enrollment is Denied by any member on the account, the backup will not be eligilble for recovery and you will need to request a new backup to be sent over.
Step 3: Wait for Processing
After approval, you'll see a blue Processing tag on the backup in the Backups tab. Once processing finishes, your backup is enrolled and ready for recovery.
