How to Request Your Utila Backup

Station70 provides secure storage and policy-based recovery for your Utila vault backups. Here's how to get set up.

Step 1: Start the Backup in Utila (Web)

Create your Station70 account, if you haven't already
Log in to Utila on the web
Go to Vault Settings > Backup
Select Create New Backup and choose Station70 as your backup provider

Stuck? If "Continue" doesn't respond at this step, contact Utila Support for help.

Step 2: Authorize the Backup (Mobile App)

Switch to the Utila mobile app
Go to Vault Actions and find the Pending action
Sign it to authorize the backup

Step 3: Save Your Seed Phrase

Utila will show you a Seed Phrase — 15 randomly generated words starting with "Vault Backup." This is essential for recovering your vault in the future.

This phrase is not something you create, and it changes every time you back up a vault. If you lose it, recovery won't be possible — store it somewhere secure.

Adding new wallets to your vault later? No need to create a new backup — Station70 automatically updates your existing one with the latest vault data.

Step 4: Enroll Your Backup

Once complete, log in to Station70 and go to the Backups section. You'll see your Utila backup listed — select it and click Enroll to finish setup. For additional information, head over to How to Enroll your Backup.
